If you just go paperless you'll cut 10% of the cost of healthcare - Tommie Thompson, former Sec. of Health and Human Services
Logical Ink

Logical Ink has been implemented across several types of solutions including:

Cancer Staging

Logical Ink offers a cancer staging solution to help registrars and physicans manage their cancer treatment documentation.  Users are able to eliminate paper and keep the familiar workflow and ease-of-use of the existing forms.  Included in the solution:

  • 46 AJCC Compliant Forms
  • Subscription service provides automatic form updates

Cardiology

Hospitals that participate in the national cardiology registries must collect and publish benchmark data.  Because of the volume and timeliness of the information required, data quality issues can impact patient safety.  This can be a burden on hospitals that are utilizing paper.  Many operating rooms prohibit the use of Wi-Fi activity, so a web-based CVIS isn't practical.  Logical Progression provides a Cardiology solution that gives data collection personnel a way to electronically collect registry and core measure data offline via a tablet while supporting validation of the data at the point of capture.  The clean data is securely transmitted to the CVIS once the tablet is back online.

Implementation at Sutter Health:
Logical Progression has a long standing relationship with Sutter Health, one of the nation's leading cardiology centers.  Sutter Health has patented numerous tablet-based form templates to assist with data collection for the ACC and STS national registries, as well as JCAHO core measures.  By incorporating these templates in the tablet solution provided by Logical Progression, Sutter has reduced their data collection process from 6 weeks to 2 days.  Patient demographics are pre-loaded on each template from Sutter's Apollo CVIS.  The completed form data is sent back to Apollo via HL7 to complete the workflow.

Clinical Trials

Logical Progression has helped many clinical research organizations implement innovative tablet-based data collection solutions.  Our solutions met unique requirements that traditional, web-based EDC systems couldn't, including:  mobility, intuitive, flexible and fast pen/paper interface, off-line support for data collection and validation at the point of care.

Successful Implementations:

Home Health

Logical Ink addresses the critical requirements of an effective home health solution, such as mobility, electronic documentation and validation at the point of care.  Logical Ink's Home Health solution includes OASIS form templates, as well as the necessary CMS exports to allow you to process electronic reimbursements.

Implementation at Elevate Health:
Elevate Health uses the tablet-based OASIS and assessment templates from Logical Progression to complete their home health visits on tablet PC.  The validated data is automatically uploaded to their Synergy Home Health system upon completion of the visit, resulting in a quick turnaround on reimbursements.

Progress Notes

Logical Ink's Progress Note solution helps providers capture critical documentation for a number of specialties.  The familar interface allows physicians to keep their existing workflow while eliminating the inefficiencies of copying the previous day's notes.  The solution automatically pulls in patients' most recent vitals, labs and medications/IVs and sends new changes back to the EMR seamlessly.  The forms automatically calculates the number of days on ventilator or antiobiotics.  A permanent archive of each note is automatically sent to the hospital's imaging system.  Keep your physicians happy while eliminating paper!

Radiology

Radiology can be challenging to web-based documentation solutions because of the need to annotate diagrams.  Logical Ink's pen perfect interface provides a natural way to annotate illustrations or captured photos directly within the form template on the tablet PC.

Implementation at Tanner Health System:
Tanner Health System uses Logical Ink's Radiology solution for their MRI questionnaires.  Logical Ink integrates with their MEDITECH HIS to pre-fill the templates with demographics from the order and auto selects the appropriate forms based on the procedure.  Patients complete the specific questionnaire on a tablet and the completed forms are sent directly to the Valco and Sectra Imaging systems so that the Radiologist can access the documentation.  Logical Ink introduced full color illustrations to Tanner's forms to provide a more patient-friendly experience.
.

Registration

Logical Ink's unique interface makes it a patent-friendly solution for Registration.  Patients immediately know how to complete the form packet because they recognize the pen and paper interface and highlighted fields showing required fields.  The registrar can easily review the forms and check that all information has been provided.  Support for biometric signatures and archiving the completed form images to the hospital's imaging system helps protect against false consent claims.  The mobility of our tablet solution enables bedside registration and informed consents.
